Requesting a Website

It is expected that college offices, services and academic departments maintain a primary web presence on the main college website, davidson.edu.

Requests that are neither personal identity sites, or qualify as a Digital Project, will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and may be granted based on the following criteria:

  • Purpose falls outside of an existing authorized college website.
  • Site content cannot or should not reside on an existing authorized college website.
  • Size and composition of target audience.
  • No potential negative impacts, duplication or conflicts of interest.

Please email College Communications Digital Staff at digitalstaff@davidson.edu to initiate the process of requesting a website. In most instances, College Communications will route the request to the applicable committee member(s).

Service/website owners who would like “.davidson.edu” in their URL should fill in the request for a subdomain/alias form.
