Requesting Branded Digital Properties & Subdomain/Alias Names

To maintain Davidson’s security, web accessibility compliance (ADA), and brand integrity, all public-facing digital properties must be reviewed and approved by College Communications and T&I before creation or procurement.

A formal request is also required for site owners who would like their website, SaaS service, application or Short.io links to have an alias that contains “.davidson.edu.”

Requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be evaluated using the following criteria (if applicable):

• Complies with the Davidson College Technology Terms of Service.
• Meets the requirements outlined in the Technology Purchasing Guide.
• Reflects a college service, function and/or application that is not in conflict with an authorized college site.
• Complies with the college’s Digital Governance & Standards.
